Speaker's Biographies, Introductions, and Pictures
Version One:
Yehoshua Hoffman, was born in Denver, Colorado. Raised in a loving home of Torah, ahavas-Yisroel, and song, his parents were students of the late Rabbis Shomo Twerski and Shlomo Carlebach. His parents inculcated a love of Torah along with a love of nature, hiking and camping as they scaled the heights, both physical and spiritual, in Utah, Alaska and Colorado.
Yehoshua attended local Jewish day schools, graduating in 2003 from Yeshiva Toras Chaim. Seeking to further his love for Torah study, Yehoshua spent 4 years studying in Jerusalem. He spent the first two years at Yeshivas Torah Ohr, where he met and bonded with his beloved mentor, Rabbi Noach Orlowek shlit"a, Mashgiach of the yeshiva. He then continued at the famed Mir Yeshiva.
In the summer of 2007, Yehoshua was head counselor at a wilderness adventure camp for Orthodox boys. While driving toward a canoe trip, he survived a horrific accident, and began a years long adventure of discovering a new self and mission back in the Mile High City of Denver. Currently, Yehoshua is in the midst of completing a doctoral degree in clinical psychology (PsyD) at the University of Denver.

Yehoshua Hoffman, 35, was born in Denver, Colorado. His parents inculcated a love of Torah along with a love of nature, hiking and camping as they scaled the heights, both physical and spiritual, in Utah, Alaska and Colorado.
Following his graduation from Yeshiva Toras Chaim in 2003, Yehoshua spent 4 years studying Torah in Jerusalem.
In the summer of 2007, Yehoshua survived a horrific car accident, and began a years long adventure of discovering a new self and mission back in the Mile High City of Denver.

Yehoshua Hoffman spent his youth hiking in the mountains of Colorado and his early adulthood studying in the hallowed halls of Yeshivas Torah Ore and the Mir yeshiva in Jerusalem. Always seeking adventure, whether in the outdoors or in the intellectual and spiritual realms, Yehoshua began the greatest adventure of all after a traumatic accident brought him back to Denver as a quadriplegic five years ago. Today, Yehoshua continues his Torah studies at Yeshiva Toras Chaim in Denver and is pursuing a masters degree in social work classes. In addition, Yehoshua speaks about his experience, and the perspective he has gained from it, both locally and nationally. He recently spoke at the Yachad National Convention in Connecticut.

It is where he met and bonded with his beloved mentor, Rabbi Noach Orlowek shlit"a. Yehoshua continued his studies in Israel for an additional two years at the famed Mir Yeshiva in Jerusalem. In the summer of 2007, Yehoshua was back in the States working as a camp counselor when he survived a horrific accident, following which he returned home to the Mile High City. In the course of his recovery at Craig Hospital, outside of Denver, Yehoshua met a kindly couple who would soon introduce him to their daughter, Elisheva. The following summer Yehoshua and Elisheva were married. The Hoffmans reside in Denver, where Yehoshua studies and teaches Torah, including his popular weekly class on prayer.
